Recommended Reading

If you are anything like me, when you start a new hobby or interest, one thing you do is buy books. I LOVE BOOKS!!! So I have several "how to " knit books that have been very helpful to me, as well as books with great patterns of projects that I'm going to try someday....you know after that day that I learn to read these patterns!!! (Washcloths are my practice for pattern reading)

Anyway, one book that I've found to be VERY helpful is called " A to Z of Knitting", published by "Martingale & Company", I'm searching on here for an author, and the best I'm getting is Edited by Sue Gardner.

Anyway, the thing I like best about this book is that the pictures are REAL pictures, not illustrations and for some reason that seems to be easier for me to comprehend, and the material ranges from "What are needles", all the way to "Changing color diagonally in a row", point being that this book will be a reference for me from now, till a long time from now, so if you're in the market for a great reference book, I suggest this one.

Then today I get the best surprise at my desk. My friend Tracy left me a present. It's a knit book, which again, I LOVE!!

This one is called "The Knitting Answer Book", by Margaret Radcliffe. While I"ve only thumbed through it, I can see this book is wonderful and will be very useful. And the coolest thing is that it's a mini-book, so it doesn't take up much space in my already overflowing knit bag.

So again, thank you Tracy, I really appreciate your thoughtful gift!!

For you newbies, either of these books would be worth the investment in your "knitting education"
